SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

🥉 Round 3 of the ‘Primus’ incentivized testnet is officially over.🏁 Two more left, and then the testnet is already history.⏳ Stay tuned for the updated reward calculation or checkout the reward calculator🧮 by Hellman.

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

👀 Before looking too far beyond, congrats🎉 to our top operators in Round #2. Well done👏, @Allnodes, @beaconcha_in, and @0NEinfra. Keep 🆙 the great work.💪

👩‍🏫 Did you know that staking 100 SSV tokens with one validator generates 570% (!) more rewards than a non-staking validator?💸

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

🤔 Still not sure how to join the testnet? Crypto Tester made an excellent summary post📃 on ‘How to participate as a validator in the incentivized SSV Network Testnet’. Not to mention his new Gas Stop Goerli ETH faucet.💦 A great contribution.🔥

Guide: How to participate as validator (no infrastructure needed) in the incentivized SSV Network…

Wait🤚, SSV token, what? The secret superpower🦸‍♂️ of the is its tokenomics and $SSV native token. To get some deep insights🔍 around the tokenomic design🍰, we kicked off the SSV Token explainer series, with Part 2 fresh out of the printer.📰 Make sure you checked out Part 1 of the explainer series too.

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

🤗 If you’re interested in network fundamentals of the $SSV token, is now up-to-date with links, logos, and more info.🌟 Also, never❗ forget about Spookyg Ssv’s great Community Dashboard.📊

🚀As if it weren’t enough, the team wrote📝 an excellent article about ‘The Secrets behind Secret Shared Validator (SSV) Technology’.🤫 This one is smashing it.🔨

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

👫 L2 is still “wearing the red dress”, but 🔥Layer 0 — also referred to as the — is approaching🎯. Be the infrastructure of the infrastructure.💪 Until then, we keep the memes comin’!🤣

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

💼 On the more serious side of things, Coinbase Cloud made clear that “Client diversity on eth2 is a critical concern for all of us at Coinbase”. Word!🤯
We’re here for the rescue, and the chances are that SSV/DVT will be the next big step towards decentralizing and securing Ethereum and the @CoinbaseCloud.👩‍🚀

🌟 A great example of using the as a developer platform👩‍💻 comes from Stader Labs. They created an awesome proposal📃 to enable next-generation staking services with SSV. We had them on-air🔴 for our DAO Grants series🎬 with our great host Eran Efrima. Go check out the whole DAO Grants Playlist for other awesome talks with and RockX.🔥

💥 SSV/DVT was also a big topic during ETHDenver📅, where the larger Ethereum community discussed exciting🤩 technology. Carl Beekhuizen, a researcher from the Ethereum Foundation, held a great talk about ‘Distributed Validators: Improving Staking No Matter Your ETH Balance’. A very nice watch!🎬

💎 But it’s not just the big players who think this is the right step.🦶 It’s also our constantly growing Chinese 🇨🇳 community. Say hello👋 to the Chinese publication with tons of localized content, including our Digest. These and other efforts💪 are driven by our new NEO Ambassadors, ConnorRepeat from China and Crypto Tester from Switzerland 🇨🇭. Welcome to the pack, guys.🤝

SSV Community Digest — Issue #14

📢 Speaking about NEO Ambassadors, there is also a chance to learn a little bit about me, Ben, on our [SSV] Ambassadors Series. Nice to meet you!👋

🎯 However, the most significant addition to the is Shad🔥. Shad is the first🥇 official hire by the DAO. With over 1M SSV tokens participating in the vote, this ‘Yes’ was a bold statement.🚦 It was also the most controversially discussed proposal📄 ever, with great questions during Shad’s live AMA.🎬 Welcome aboard, Shad!🙋‍♂️

✋ But we don’t stop and welcome🌺 our 1st DAO-voted verified (node) Operators, Hellman, Ahbaay, ValiDiter, running several hundred validators altogether.👩‍🔧👨‍🔧

⌛ Now you’re finally convinced, you might wonder what else you can do to increase rewards on your SSV tokens.💸 One way is the ⭐️ $SSV Liquidity Mining Pool for the⭐️ with an APR of up to 576%❗🤯.

Disclaimer:❗❗❗ High APR is very tempting, and we know that. However, Liquidity Mining and other DeFi products do come with significant risks⚠. Make sure you did enough research on the topic. The safest way to get high APR is to stake on ‘Primus’ testnet.

👨‍👧‍👦 Community Asks

🤔 Sometimes, my Validators show inactive on the ssv.explorer but active on What’s wrong?

Just to clarify, explorer is accurate for the majority of the time, we do get some peaks in the day where it goes out of sync for a few minutes and until it resyncs you could see that all operators are inactive/missing duties (in explorer not on the actual beaconchain) […] are working vigorously in order to minimize these events, it’s a WIP sol there is no final ETA, hopefully this problem will become very rare soon enough.
